Matteo Galli (2000) is an Italian artist who, after completing his studies, moved to the Netherlands, where he currently lives. After an initial musical education in piano and classical music at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in Cremona, he began to develop an interest in drawing at the age of 18. He graduated in 2022 from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, followed by a master’s degree, also in Milan, in 2025. Throughout this journey, Matteo Galli experimented with various techniques, eventually returning—after a semester at the Academy of Dresden—to sound. He has since developed an in-depth exploration of sound and its physical properties in relation to space, a line of research he continues to pursue in his Dutch studio.
